National Heritage Month (NHM) 2025

The National Library of the Philippines joins the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the whole nation as we embrace our shared responsibility to preserve cultural legacies and celebrate the month of May as National Heritage Month (NHM), in accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 439, s. 2003.

This year’s theme, “Preserving Legacies, Building Futures: Empowering Communities through Heritage,” emphasizes heritage as a bridge between past and future, inspiring communities to engage in conservation and education efforts. By blending traditional knowledge with modern techniques, communities can create innovative, sustainable preservation strategies.
