Happy Public Library Day!

In celebration of Public Library Day, we are delighted to share a video showcasing the programs and activities of public libraries during Public Library Day in 2024. The following public libraries are:

  • Urdaneta City Library
  • Batangas City Library
  • Sagay City Library
  • Tarlac Provincial Library
  • Tayabas City Library
  • Manila City Library
  • Quezon City Public Library
  • Himamaylan City Public Library
  • City of Santa Rosa Library
  • Samar Provincial Library

Since this year’s Public Library Day (March 9, 2025) falls on a weekend, public libraries may celebrate either before or after this date. If your library is organizing activities, we’d love to hear about them. Feel free to share!

As of February 2025, the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) had 1,714 public libraries, all of which are dedicated to serving communities throughout the country.

We also invite you to join us at the 2025 National Conference of Public Libraries with the theme “Public Libraries in Action: Blueprint of an Empowered Community” on March 17-20, 2025 at Chali Resort Conference Center, Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental.
