Empowering Communities Through Public Library Visits in the Provinces of Tarlac and Zambales

The National Library of the Philippines (NLP) visited its affiliated public libraries in the Provinces of Tarlac and Zambales on April 21-25, 2025, to support its Local Government Units (LGUs) in providing excellent public library services for their communities. Representing NLP were Ms. Blesila P. Velasco, Chief of Public Libraries Division (PLD), and Ms. Amy Felice P. Bucago, Librarian I from PLD.

This activity enables engagement with some Local Chief Executives and other local Officials to discuss the benefits of reviving their inactive and closed public libraries, emphasizing the importance of providing equal access to knowledge and lifelong learning for the entire community.
