Ang Pambansang Aklatan ng Pilipinas ay nakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng ika-158 anibersaryo ng kapanganakan ng pambansang bayani na kilala bilang ang “Dakilang Lumpo” o “Dakilang Paralitiko”, ang kauna-unahang punong ministro ng bansa na si Apolinario Mabini y Maranan. Siya ay ipinanganak sa Talaga, Tanauan, Batangas noong ika-23 ng Hulyo, taong 1864. Inauguration and Blessing of Davao City Library and Information Center

Congratulations to the Davao City Library and Information Center for the recently held blessing and inauguration of their City Library. Director Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano of the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) was invited to witness the turnover. The event was led by Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte with Vice Mayor J. NLP Wins Second Place in Online Advocate Award from DOST-STII Library

The National Library of the Philippines (NLP) is deeply grateful to be awarded Second Place in Online Advocate Award from the DOST-Science and Technology Information Institute (DOST-STII) Library. The award was given to individuals and institutions who actively promoted DOST-STII Library programs and services through various platforms in 2020-2021. The awarding ceremony was held during the DOST-STII Library Clients’ Appreciation Day and Launch of the STAR Library App 2.0 last 27 July 2022 at the DOST-STII Mini-Theater in Taguig City.

Online Photo Exhibit: Cleaning and Repair of the Bible Used During the Oath-Taking Ceremony of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

As the nation waits for the first State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. today, the National Library of the Philippines features an online photo exhibit on the cleaning and repair of the Bible used during the Presidential Inauguration last 30 June 2022. It is the same Bible used by his father, former President Ferdinand E. Marcos, who took his oath on two Bibles on 30 December 1965.
