The National Library of the Philippines (NLP) joins the whole nation in commemorating the 78th death anniversary of former President Manuel L. Quezon today, August 1. He served as the 2nd President of the Philippines from 1935 until he died of tuberculosis while in exile in 1944. The National Library of the Philippines would like to extend its deep appreciation to Dr. Jaime C. Laya for donating 120 copies of volumes 3 and 4 of his book titled, “Wala Lang: Articles on Philippine Life & Culture”, and “Rogers and Emma, American Teachers in the Philippines, 1911-1913 and 1915-1920” by Linda Pope Pratt.
