124th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service

The National Library of the Philippines joins the Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the whole nation in celebrating the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA). This is pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1050, s. 1997 declaring the month of September as the Civil Service Month, and in observance of the establishment of the Philippine Civil Service by virtue of Public Law No. 5 issued on 19 September 1900. National Heroes Day 2024

The National Library of the Philippines joins the whole nation in the commemoration of National Heroes Day. Today, we remember and honor the bravery of all the Filipino heroes who fought and continue to fight for the freedom and goodness of our country. This observance is in accordance with Republic Act No. 9492, s. 2007, which designates the last Monday of August as a national holiday to celebrate Heroes Day.
