The 33rd Library and Information Services Month and 89th National Book Week celebration has concluded today, 29 November 2023 through a Joint Awarding and Closing Ceremonies at the Epifanio Delos Santos Auditorium, National Library of the Philippines.

The #NationalLibraryPH office and reading room services will be suspended from 12:00 noon onwards on Monday, December 4, 2023, in line with the NLP’s staff development activity, ‘Lunch and Learn.’

The #NationalLibraryPH and Sentro ng Karunungan Library will be 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗗 on Monday, November 27, 2023, in commemoration of the 160th birth anniversary of Gat. Andres Bonifacio. This is in accordance with Proclamation No. 90, which designates Bonifacio Day as a regular holiday on November 27, 2023, instead of November 30.
All operations and reading room services will resume Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

Exploratory Meeting to Strengthen Library Services in BARMM
On November 15, 2023, NLP Director Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano met with Hon. Almarim C. Tillah, Presidential Adviser on Muslim Affairs with Sultanate of Sulu Princess Merriam Kiram, President of United World Foundation, Inc., and Hamza E. Tillah, Executive Assistant III.
They explored collaborative projects to strengthen the services of existing public libraries in BARMM and encourage the establishment of additional libraries in the region.

📢 Heads up to all authors, creators, copyright claimants, publishers, printers, and concerned parties! 📜 The National Library of the Philippines will now implement the use of constructive affixture of documentary stamp for Documentary Stamp Tax (DST) payment on all certificates issued by the agency.
📅 This move is in line with BIR Revenue Regulation No. 2-2023 dated 29 March 2023, mandating the use of constructive affixture as proof of payment for DST on certificates issued by government agencies or instrumentalities.
