PUBLIC ADVISORY: NLP will be closed on August 12

The National Library of the Philippines will be CLOSED on Friday, 12 August 2022, in celebration of its 135th Founding Anniversary. A program has been prepared in line with the celebration which will be attended by the employees. Online services are still open, however, processing will resume on Monday. NLP offices and reading room services will resume on Monday, 15 August 2022.

The National Library of the Philippines suspends its services today and tomorrow, 23-24 August 2022 due to Severe Tropical Storm. The National Library of the Philippines is one with the whole nation in remembering the life of former President Fidel V. Ramos who died yesterday, 31 July 2022 at the age of 94. The national flag in front of the NLP Building was flown at half-mast this morning as a sign of respect and mourning. Based on Section 23 of Republic Act No. 8491, the flag shall be flown at half-mast for ten (10) days after the day of official announcement of the death of a former President.
