The National Library of the Philippines (NLP) will be CLOSED on Friday, 9 December 2022, to give way to its Year-End Assessment.
NLP offices and reading room services will resume on Monday, 12 December 2022.

The National Library of the Philippines joins the nation in commemorating the 126th anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. José Rizal on 30 December 2022 with the theme “Rizal: Alaalang Iningatan, Yaman Ngayon ng Bayan” (Rizal: Preserved Memories Treasured Today by the Nation).
NLP is closed today in observance of the national holiday. Library services and operations will resume on Tuesday, 3 January 2023.

Thanksgiving Mass and Blessing of New NLP Vehicles
A Thanksgiving Mass and blessing of the new NLP vehicles, presided by Rev. Fr. Douglas Badong of the Nuestra Señora dela Soledad Parish, was held last Friday morning at the National Library of the Philippines.
NLP Director Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano, Assistant Director Edgardo B, Quiros, Division Chiefs and employees joined the blessing of the new vehicles which will be used to extend its services in the wider community.

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 837, s. 1991 the whole month of November is dedicated to celebrating Library and Information Services (LIS) Month. Together with the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts- National Committee on Libraries and Information Services (NCCA-NCLIS), relevant activities and contests are prepared for this month-long celebration.

32nd LIS Month Opening Ceremony
The National Library of the Philippines (NLP), in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts – National Committee on Libraries and Information Services (NCCA-NCLIS) and the Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. (PLAI), will formally start the celebration of the 32nd Library and Information Services Month through the Opening Ceremonies which will be held tomorrow, November 4, 2022, 9:00 AM, at the NLP Epifanio de los Santos Auditorium.
