Undersecretary Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) donated 300 volumes of her book, “Night Owl,” to the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) on 2 December 2022. NLP Director Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano accepted the donated books with Melody M. Madrid, Chief of the Collection Development Division; Ruth Salubre, Librarian III of CDD; and, Vida Dorea Mendoza, Librarian II of the Establishment and Affiliation Unit. This book will be distributed to the selected affiliated public libraries in the country.

December 8 is a special non-working holiday in the entire country to commemorate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. The National Library of the Philippines will be closed tomorrow in accordance with Proclamation No. 1236, s. 2021. The National Library of the Philippines will be on a half-day work suspension on 23 December 2022 from 12:00 pm onwards to give its employees more time to spend with their families and prepare for the holiday season. NLP operations and services will resume on Tuesday, 27 December 2022.
