Strengthening Access to Knowledge: NLP’s Engagements with Nueva Ecija Public Libraries

From May 5–9, 2025, the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) visited affiliated public libraries across Nueva Ecija to promote equitable learning and community empowerment through strengthened partnerships with Local Government Units (LGUs). Representing NLP were Mr. Michael James R. Reyno, Librarian II, and Ms. Sherlyn Amber Dela Cruz, Librarian I, both from the Public Libraries Division (PLD).

This initiative fostered collaborative dialogue with local leaders, emphasizing the revival of inactive libraries and the critical role of accessible information in shaping lifelong learners and inclusive development.
