March 13, 2024
In an effort to educate children about the importance of road safety, a new picture book has been launched, aiming to instill essential knowledge and skills among students. Titled “๐๐ป๐ด ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฎ ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฎ: ๐ ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ถ๐ฐ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ธ,” is a project of the NLEX-SCTEX in collaboration with UNICEF, Department of Education, Department of Transportation and Department of Interior and Local Government in championing the rights of the children by ensuring a safe road and community for them.
As a center of learning, the #NationalLibraryPH supports this advocacy by hosting the book launching event on 13 March 2023 held at the Epifanio delos Santos Auditorium. NLP Asst. Director Edgardo B. NLP Kuwentistas of the Childrenโs Section gave life to the story of the book through a storytelling activity and puppet show.
