NLP Receives Donated Print Resources from NMP

The National Library of the Philippines (NLP) is very grateful to the donated print resources of the National Museum of the Philippines (NMP) last 11 August 2022 in celebration of the 135th Founding Anniversary of both agency with its establishment on 12 August 1887 as Museo-Biblioteca de Filipinas.

NMP Director-General Jeremy Barns with the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the Research, Collections and Conservation Management Division Concurrent CAO, Museum Services Division, Ms. Anne Rosette G. Crelencia, together with the other staff of NMP, turned-over the 2,160 vols. of books (16 titles;135 vols. per title) received by NLP Director Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano with the Chief of the Collection Development Division (CDD), Melody M. Madrid and other CDD Staff. 

These resources will be distributed to the selected public libraries affiliated with the NLP. The following are the titles of the donated print resources:

-A continuing project: hats, g-strings, girdles, ornaments: selection from the Philippine ethnographic collection National Museum of Ethnology, Museum Volkenkunde, Leiden, The Netherlands.

-Baybayin: mga sinauna at tradisyunal na panulat sa Pilipinas

-Birds of Catanduanes

-NMP Journal of Natural History Malasantan

-NMP Journal of Natural History Zambales Forest Mouse

-Pagbanhaw: National Heritage Restoration and Reconstruction Program in the Visayas

-Protecting Filipino heritage: laws and initiatives for the preservation of cultural property in the Philippines

-Tau’t Batu: People of the Rock

-The National Museum Visual Arts Collections

-Treasures of Philippine Art

-Treasures of the San Diego

-Ang kapuluang Pilipinas noong Panahong Neyolitiko

-Egyptian art through the ages: an exhibition of art objects from the Arab Republic of Egypt

-India: the living art

-Shell ornamentation of La Purisima Concepcion Parish Church, Guiuan, Eastern Samar
