NLP Founding Anniversary Exhibit is Open to the Public

The National Library of the Philippines inaugurated and opened an exhibit for its 135th Founding Anniversary last 11 August 2022. This is located in the 2nd floor lobby of the NLP Building and shall be opened for public viewing (FOR FREE) until the END OF THIS MONTH. Featured in the exhibit are some of the most valuable materials from NLP’s Rare and Special Collections under the custody of the Filipiniana Division. Included in the exhibit are the original manuscript and facsimile of Jose Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, De Molucis Insulis (the first book written on the Philippines after Magellan’s expedition), The Philippine Incunabula (printed works produced by the native press when printing in the country is still in its infancy), Acta de la Proclamacion de Independencia del Pueblo Filipino (Act of the Declaration of Philippine Independence), Philippine Insurgent Records, and many other important books, documents, and photographs that became valuabe part of Philippine history, culture, and heritage.
