In celebration of the National Heritage Month 2022 with the theme “Pamanang Lokal: Binhi ng Kulturang Pilipino,” the National Library of the Philippines shall be posting selected articles from the H. Otley Beyer Ethnographic Collection that features valuable cultural heritage from different localities in the country.
The video presentation below is based on Tagalog Paper No. 246 of the H. Otley Beyer Ethnographic Collection entitled “The Wine Industry of Tayabas Province” by Juan V. Eleazar. Tayabas was previously a province that is now Aurora and Quezon, and is known for its wine industry, particularly lambanog (commonly described as “coconut vodka”).
