May 9 is a Special (Non-Working) Holiday

Proclamation No. 1357, s. 2022 declares Monday, 9 May 2022, as a special (non-working) holiday to enable the Filipinos to properly exercise their right to vote in the National and Local Elections.

In line with this, the National Library of the Philippines will be closed on Monday, May 9, and will resume its operations and services on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
