DICT Awards #NationalLibraryPH for Technological Initiatives

The 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗧) recognized the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 for several projects and initiatives that contributed to this acknowledgment. Some of the key projects include the establishment of Tech4ED Centers in public libraries nationwide, Project LARA managed by different divisions of the National Library, and efforts to enhance the library’s collection through various means like acquisitions and exchanges. Additionally, initiatives to establish a network of special libraries and a nationwide system of public libraries in line with national standards were also instrumental in earning this recognition. These endeavors highlight the NLP’s dedication to promoting access to information resources and fostering digital inclusivity, in alignment with the DICT’s objectives.
