DID YOU KNOW?

The is providing access to print and non-print library materials for persons with visual disability like 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐄, large print, audio books and e-resources. 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐄 is a method of written communication for blind persons where the letters are made out of raised dot patterns that can be felt with the fingertips. Writing tools include a 𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄 and a 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐘𝐋𝐔𝐒. In a manner, writing in braille is similar to writing on paper with a pen and a stylus when using a slate and stylus. 𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬 | The #NationalLibraryPH conducted a basic workshop on handling persons with disabilities with the NLP employees in the celebration of the 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙝𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠. In observance of the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week, which runs from July 17–23, 2023, the #NationalLibraryPH will participate in this national celebration.
