The National Library of the Philippines will be on a half-day work suspension on 24 December 2021 from 12:00 pm onwards to give its employees more time to celebrate Christmas with their families. NLP operations and services will resume on Monday, 27 December 2021.  

The National Library of the Philippines will be on a half-day work suspension on 31 December 2021 from 12:00 pm onwards to give its employees more time to spend with their families and prepare for  the new year. NLP operations and services will resume on Monday, 3 January 2022.  

Reading room services of the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) will be closed on December 16 and 17 to give way to the capacity building activity for all NLP staff. Offices will still remain open to receive important documents. Reading room services will resume its operations on December 20, Monday.

Dr. Morteza Sabouri, the Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Manila, visited the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) and met with NLP Director Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano on 14 December 2021 for the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the National Library and Archives of the Islamic Republic of Iran and NLP.
