UNODC and BJMP Visited NLP

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) made a courtesy visit at the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) today, 18 October 2022 to express their gratitude for the participation of NLP in crafting the Read Your Way Out Project.

Representatives of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime– Mr. Rafael Barreto Souza, Atty. Dexter Diwas, and Mr. Martin Perfecto; and  BJMP Officers– JSINSP Jake L. Basilan, SJO1 Nardo Zambalez, and Ms. Ma. Louise Engracial were welcomed by NLP Director Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano; together with Chad Aren Diaz, Librarian III and head of the Training Section; and, Julie Ann Dominique DL. San Esteban, Librarian III and head of Library Establishment and Affiliation and Monitoring and Evaluation Section of the Public Libraries Division. 

Also discussed in the meeting were the succeeding measures and involvement of the NLP to the RYWO project.
