The National Library of the Philippines joins our Muslim brothers and sisters in the observance of Eid’l Fitr, the completion of Ramadan’s 30-day fast. Based on Proclamation No. 514 s. 2024, the 10th of April 2024 was designated as a regular holiday throughout the country.
In order to recognize the nation’s Islamic heritage, Republic Act No. 9177 was enacted in November 2022 declaring Eid’l Fitr as a national holiday, a prominent and important Islamic celebration around the world.
