Memorandum of Understanding with the National Library and Archives of Iran

On 6 December 2023, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation between the National Library of the Philippines, and the National Library and Archives of the Islamic Republic of Iran was renewed.

The signing and renewal of the said MoU was done virtually in the presence of NLP Director Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano, Head of the National Library and Archives of Iran Allreza Mokhtarpour and the Deputies Esmat Momeni and Seyed Hadi Mousavi, Deputy of Development and Resource Management Mohammad Abbasi, and from the Public Relations and Administration and International Affair Mithra Hajian.

Present in the NLP to witness the signing were, Abdolmajid Abolghasemi, Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Brahman Samadi, Dolores D. Carungui, Chief of Reference Division (RD) and Wilbur Callo, OIC of Asia and Oceania Section, RD.

It is hoped that with this Understanding, more opportunities to expand and enrich the cultural and diplomatic relationships between the Philippines and Iran will be realized.
