𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙧: 𝙆-𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩

The much awaited book signing and ‘meet the author’ event was successfully conducted earlier today, 10 October 2023 at Epifanio delos Santos Auditorium of the National Library of the Philippines. The ‘𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿: 𝗞-𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁’ was spearheaded by the 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗞𝗖𝗖) in the Philippines under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the official cultural arm of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the country. KCC headed by 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗶𝗺 𝗠𝘆𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗷𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗷𝗶 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗴, Event and PR Officer from KCC Philippines organized the book talk in partnership with NLP as one of its venues.

As the highlight of the activity, participants had an engaging discussion with the 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗷𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸, ‘𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗻’ 𝗮𝗻𝗱 ‘𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀’, both international bestseller novels. Members of the KCC Book Club and Library and Information Science Students from Polytechnic University, and other guests had a chance to learn the writing process, inspiration and development of the character of Ms. Jeong Youjeong. 𝗠𝘀.𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗭𝗮𝗳𝗿𝗮, the award winning fiction writer, editor and publisher hosted the program.

𝗡𝗟𝗣 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗕. 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗼𝘀 expressed NLP’s support in activities like this to promote literature, understand and appreciate cultural diversity, exchange of ideas and values, cultural awareness and inspire creativity.

The ‘Meet the Mentor: K-Novelis Book Talk’ will also be having their activity at Rizal Library of Ateneo de Manila University, 3:00 PM-5:00 PM today, and on 11 October 2023, 4:00 PM-6:00 PM at Fully Booked, BGC High Street.
