Atang dela Rama Collection

As the nation celebrates the 121st birth anniversary of the “Queen of Kundiman”, Ms. Honorata “Atang” dela Rama, the National Library of the Philippines features an online collection of the National Artist’s monographs, music sheets, pictures, etc. available via the NLP’s TeknoAklatan. Atang dela Rama was born on January 11, 1902 in Pandacan, Manila. She started being cast in Spanish zarzuelas at a very young age, which eventually led to her becoming the very first actress in the very first locally produced Filipino film and being awarded as National Artist for Theater and Music in 1987. She died on July 11, 1991.
