99th Meeting of the Integrated Philippine eLibrary (IPeL) Steering Committee

The 𝟵𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 (𝗜𝗣𝗲𝗟) 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 convened today, 4 June 2024, at the #NationalLibraryPH. Attended by Subcomponent Team Leaders and representatives from the five participating agencies, notable figures included 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗣. 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗼𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧- 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗘𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗮 𝗕. 𝗟𝗮𝗽𝘂𝘇 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝘁. 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗕. 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀.
This gathering forms part of the committee’s regular quarterly sessions aimed at directing and setting policies for the Integrated Philippine eLibrary Project. Among the agenda items discussed was the forthcoming capacity-building training scheduled for June 5-7, focusing on the enhanced eLib Portal System and the newly developed ILS and CMS. Additionally, the committee paid homage to the outgoing IPeL steering committee chair, who is set to retire on 20 June 2024. Looking ahead, the team marked their calendars for the next quarterly meeting slated for 7 August 2024, to take place at UP Diliman.
