Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month 2024

The National Library of the Philippines joins the National Maritime Council, the Presidential Office for Maritime Concerns, and the whole nation in the celebration of Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) this September. The theme this year is “Pamana ng Karagatan: Para sa Kinabukasan, ating Ingatan” which higlights the valuable resources offered by our maritime and archipelagic nation, which Filipinos are responsible for protecting, preserving, and enriching for the benefit of present and future generations.

Proclamation No. 316, s. 2017, declares the month of September as the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month which synchronized the celebration of all maritime-related events and activities in a single month. It aims to increase awareness and appreciation for the Philippines’ maritime and archipelagic nature.
