January 6, 2024
Every year, from January 1 to January 7, the Philippines observes 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠. The Philippine Standard Time (P.S.T.) Act of 2013 led to its establishment. The 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧) of the nation coordinates the week-long celebration and urges all citizens to set their timepieces to coincide with the PST that they have supplied. The purpose of the yearly celebration is to guarantee that every Filipino citizen is aware of and complies with the national standard time. The 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧 claims that there are several advantages to 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠 celebrations, including higher productivity.
