𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗠 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗕𝗪
The 33rd Library and Information Services Month and 89th National Book Week celebration has concluded today, 29 November 2023 through a Joint Awarding and Closing Ceremonies at the Epifanio Delos Santos Auditorium, National Library of the Philippines.
𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 (𝗡𝗕𝗗𝗕) 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼-𝗧𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗲 was invited as the inspirational speaker who shared about the vital role and functions of NBDB in the book industry and emphasized the role of librarians in transformative learning. Combining the roles of these institutions, book and learning materials production in our own languages is essential in the knowledge production of the community as explained by Exec. Dir. Aquino-Tugade.
Members of the NLP-LISM Committee headed by the 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗔. 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘇 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗕𝗪 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 led the presentation of the accomplished programs and activities and the recognition of the various contest winners.
Officials of the library and library association including 𝗡𝗟𝗣 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗩 𝗖𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗿 𝗚𝗶𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗤. 𝗔𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁. 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗕. 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗼𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗜 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗕. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝘁 joined the ceremonies and introduced the programs that were successfully implemented in the whole month of November. They also acknowledged the efforts of the community who joined in the LISM and NBW activities, and recognized the different institutions who were involved in the planning and implementation of the programs.
The LISM Publications–𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗩𝗼𝗹. 𝗜𝗜𝗜: 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 featuring the inspiring stories of selected librarians was also launched during the program. The publication will be soon available in the LISM Microsite.
