𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟐 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟑 𝐎𝐅 𝟏𝟏𝐓𝐇 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐅𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐎𝐍 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐃𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐒 𝐋𝐈𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏

The #11thCYYAL brought together professionals, educators, and enthusiasts from the library and education sectors to explore the latest trends, challenges, and best practices in serving the needs of children and young adults through library services. Plenary Sessions explore innovative ways to encourage reading habits among children and young adults, such as storytelling, book clubs, and digital resources.
There were six plenary sessions: Plenary Session 1: 𝙀𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙙𝙪𝙡𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙇𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙣𝙖 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙇𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙣𝙖 presented by 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐏. 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨, Librarian III, Valenzuela City Public Library; Plenary Session 4: 𝙐𝙣𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙄𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: 𝙊𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙙𝙪𝙡𝙩 told by 𝐃𝐣𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐚 𝐌. 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬, Founder, Storyhouse Philippines; Plenary Session 5: 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨’ 𝙀𝙭𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣’𝙨 𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙚 𝙏𝙖𝙡𝙠 shared by 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐕. 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧, Imus City Public Library, Recipient of 2022 Exemplary Children’s Library Service Award; and lastly Plenary Session 6: 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙖-𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙜𝙖 𝘽𝙖𝙩𝙖 presented by 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐲 𝐁. 𝐋𝐚𝐜𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚. The conference provided favorable opportunities for networking and interactions among attendees who shared their experiences and best practices, fostering collaborations and partnerships to enhance their libraries’ services for young users.
An eagerly anticipated event, the 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 with the theme 𝙆-𝙋𝙊𝙋 was also conducted with the purpose of gathering and fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among participants, encouraging meaningful interactions and the strengthening of bonds.
On the last day of conference there was also the ceremonial turn-over to Pangasinan Provincial Library as the next co-host of the 8th ICCYAL in 2024.
