32nd LISM Call for Papers Extended

We are glad to announce that the Call for Papers in relation to the Library and Information Services Month (LISM) 2022 Search for Best Research Award has been extended. The new deadline for submission is on October 7, 2022 (Friday). We would like to encourage everyone to proceed writing your research abstracts and participate in the contest.

The 32nd Library and Information Services Month (LISM) Committee of the National Library of the Philippines, in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) through the National Committee on Libraries and Information Services (NCLIS), and in collaboration with the Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. (PLAI) is pleased to announce the Call for Papers in connection with the LISM celebration this November 2022.
 

Tema ng Ika-32 Taong Selebrasyon ng Library and Information Services (LIS) Month

Sa bisa ng Proklamasyon Blg. 837, s. 1991, idineklara ang buwan ng Nobyembre ng bawat taon bilang "Library and Information Services Month". At sa pamumuno ng National Library of the Philippines (NLP) at National Commission for Culture and the Arts - National Committee on Libraries and Information Sevices (NCCA-NCLIS), ang magiging tema ng selebrasyon ngayong taon ay "Mga Aklatan Bilang Kanlungan ng Karunungan: Tagapangalaga ng Kultura at Pamanang Lokal".

Awarding of the NLP CNA Certificate

The National Library of the Philippines (NLP) received the Certificate of Registration for its Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) today, 3 October 2022. The certificate was awarded by Atty. Mary Grace P. Dugay, Acting Director II of CSC BSP Field Office and was received by NLP Director Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano, together with the officers of The National Library Employees Association (TNLEA), led by its president, Ms. Cherry V.

2022 National Indigenous Peoples Month

The National Library of the Philippines joins the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples and the whole nation in celebrating the 2022 National Indigenous Peoples Month this month of October. Proclamation No. 1906, s. 2009 declares the month of October as the month of people’s participation in the celebration and preservation of Indigenous Cultural Communities as part of the Life of the Nation.
