Awarding Ceremonies of NLP’s PRIME-HRM Accreditation and Blessing of NLP Auditorium

National Library of the Philippines (NLP) achieved another milestone on March 10, 2021. NLP received the Certificate of Recognition for obtaining the Maturity Level II of the Enhanced PRIME-HRM awarded by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) after the blessing and inauguration of its newly renovated NLP Auditorium.

 

Director Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano and Assistant Director Edgardo B. Quiros, together with some of the NLP employees, gathered to take part in the Eucharistic Celebration and the ceremony of blessing of the auditorium which was presided by Rev. Fr. Paul Enrique Gungon.

 

The awarding of certificate recognizing NLP’s determination and invaluable efforts to promote excellence in the efficient and effective public service delivery of the agency was the highlight of the program. Director May Antonette Arriola from CSC-NCR (BSP-FO) awarded the certificate to Director Adriano in the presence of the members of the PRIME-HRM focal persons: Dolores D. Carungui, Maureen M. Terrenal, Jennifer B. Dimasaca and Melody Madrid. Other members of NLP PRIME-HRM were also recognized: John Eric Pangilinan, Theresa Candy Garcia, Flordeliza Quinones, Danilo Fernandez, Jean Ico, Cherry Melquiades, Jose Tomasito Fernando, Rica Jane Marcelo, Leonardo Bernabe Jr, Maricris Abancia, Christopher Diaz, and Harris Estolano; and former members of the NLP, Rhodora Julian and Atty. Lei Anne Q. Cabuyadao.

 

The recognition is an initial step to achieve CSC accreditation, which is part of the priority goal of Director Adriano’s administration: to empower the employees and increase the capacity of NLP as a public institution that supports and assists public libraries in the Philippines.

 

Director Arriola also extended her time at NLP by presenting the PRIME-HRM and the process on the NLP Accreditation. She also emphasized that NLP is one of the only two agencies who have consistent communication with CSC to initiate its accreditation.

 

Overall, the program is a huge a success as health and safety protocols such as wearing a face mask, face shield and social distancing were observed in the whole duration of the program.

The Eucharistic Celebration and blessing of the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) Auditorium was attended by Director Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano, Assistant Director Edgardo B. Quiros together with some NLP employee.

Dimasaca and Melody Madrid recieved the Certificate of Recognition given by  Director May Antonette Arriola from CSC-NCR (BSP-FO). A photo opportunity with the Chiefs of different Divisions followed the awarding ceremony.

The newly renovated NLP Auditorium, fully air-conditioned, 150-seating capacity is now ready to host different cultural and official activities.
