Italian Book about the Philippines, Deposited in the NLP

Italian author, Mr. Giulio Cargnello, visited the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) on September 23, 2022 to deposit his book “La diplomazia della Santa Sede e i governi nelle Filippine e a Guam.

32nd LISM Call for Papers Still Extended

The Call for Papers in relation to the Library and Information Services Month (LISM) 2022 Search for Best Research Award is still extended. Deadline for submission has now been set on October 14, 2022 (Friday). We encourage all LIS undergraduate students, LIS graduate students, and LIS professionals to continue writing your research abstracts and participate in the Call for Papers.
 

2022 Manila International Book Fair (MIBF)

In its 34th year, the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF), held at the SMX Convention Center, MOA, launched its annual activities which started from September 15 up to September 18, 2022. The Collection Development Division (CDD) Chief, Ms. Melody M. Madrid, attended the first day and the MIBF Ribbon Cutting ceremonies together with other CDD staff.

Congratulations to the Recent Civil Service Exam Passers

The National Library of the Philippines (NLP) congratulates the passers of the recent Civil Service Exam (CSE) conducted last August 7, 2022. Among them are four passers who are currently working in the NLP, namely Ella Marie N. Medrana, Rovelyn L. Centina, Angel V. Curib, and Alyanna Kriza S. Centeno. All of them passed the CSE professional level.
 

Philippine PEN Congress 2022 and Book Launching of LUNA

Ms. Melody Madrid, Chief of the Collection Development Division, represented the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) during the Philippine PEN (Poets, Essayists, Novelist) Congress held last September 20, 2022 at the CCP Main Theater Lobby, Pasay City. 
 

Cataloging in Publication

Cataloging in Publication (CIP) is a service offered to local publishers for books published in the Philippines. It is a voluntary program of the National Library of the Philippines through the Catalog Division and is provided free of charge. Its purpose is to produce standardized bibliographic descriptions for forthcoming Philippine publications.
