The National Library of the Philippines joins our Muslim brothers and sisters in the celebration of Eid’l Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice, being observed today, July 9, 2022. Eid’l Adha is one of the two greatest feasts of Islam and has been declared a regular holiday in the country by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 2, s. 2022.

NLP Reading Room Services Under Alert Level 1

In line with the approval of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) to place the National Capital Region under Alert Level 1, we are pleased to inform the public that starting March 7, the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) will be operating at full 100 percent capacity, consistent with national issuances on vaccination requirements for on-site work.

The National Library of the Philippines will be CLOSED on Thursday, June 30, 2022 in consideration of the road closure and traffic rerouting plan that will be implemented as part of the security measures for the presidential inaugural ceremonies to be held at the National Museum of the Philippines (formerly known as the Old Legislative Building), Padre Burgos Avenue, Ermita, Manila.
