Day 3 and 4: Orientation and Initial Allocation of Library Resources to Newly-Affiliated Public Libraries of the National Library of the Philippines (NLP)

Last 23-24 March 2023, participants of this training program attended an orientation on the different modules of KOHA - a free and open source library system that can be used by our public libraries and barangay reading centers.

In line with the National Women’s Month Celebration this March 2023, the Gender and Development (GAD) Committee and Committee on Decorum and investigation (CODI) on Sexual Harassment conducted Forum on Sexual Harassment and Women’s Health held on 23 March 2023 at the NLP Auditorium.

The National Library of the Philippines (NLP) would like to congratulate Mr. Wilbur S. Calo, who has been appointed to the Librarian II position in the Reference Division.
He took his oath before NLP Director Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano on 24 March 2023 at the Director's Office.

Day 2: Orientation and Initial Allocation of Library Resources to Newly-Affiliated Public Libraries of the National Library of the Philippines (NLP)

On its second day, all participants of the on-going orientation training were able to acquire new concepts under the following learning sessions

a) Basic tips on how on they can conserve and preserve their new and existing library resources as discussed by Ms. Maricel M. Diaz, Librarian IV of the Filipiniana Division.

Day 1 : Orientation and Initial Allocation of Library Resources to Newly-Affiliated Public Libraries of National Library of the Philippines (NLP)

The National Library of the Philippines with the Public Libraries Division conducted an Orientation and Initial Allocation of Library Resources to Newly-Affiliated Public Libraries of NLP on March 21-24, 2023 at the NLP Auditorium. This activity seeks to: 

a. Provide initial allocation to NLP’s newly affiliated public libraries; 

b. Discuss with public librarians and/or officers-in-charge basic concepts on library services, through NLP services, for better, more efficient, and effective delivery of library services; and, 

c. Detail to public librarians and/or officers-in-charge their duties and responsibilities to NLP as an affiliated public library.
