Jennifer Dimasaca

Jennifer Dimasaca is a licensed librarian and a graduate of Masters in  Library and Information Science.  She has been with the National Library of the Philippines since 2002 and is currently assigned at the Public Libraries Division that helps affiliated public libraries to  provide relevant library services to the community.

In 2014, her management skills were enhanced through the scholarship grant she received from the national government under the Development Academy of the Philippines. She was conferred the Masters Degree in Development Management and completed her Re-entry Project titled “Aklatan para sa Katutubong Pilipino ng Santa Marcela, Apayao” that won an Award as the Most-Citizen Centric Re-Entry Project.

She also had various local and international training on International Standard Serial Number, ASEAN Children’s Librarianship, among others.


Xenia Romero
Librarian I, Public Libraries Division

Xenia Romero has been in the National Library of the Philippines since 2013 and is currently assigned in the Public Libraries Division supervises the Affiliation Section and the Locally Funded Programs. She was previously assigned to the Library Monitoring, Inventory, and Evaluation Section. Prior to that, she was the designated Secretary of the Director and Assistant Director in the Office of the Director performing administrative tasks and deals to library related matters. Also, she was one of the professional librarians in the Filipiniana Division catering for the library and information needs of all types of users and researchers and have been in the Collection Development Division performing mechanical activities.

Before she joined NLP in 2013, she was the Head Librarian of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) from 2005 to 2013. For eight (8) years in CHED, she was involved in different inter-agency projects on electronic library and on digitization related projects. She facilitated various libraries and non-library related training, workshops, seminars and fora and conducted coordination with inter-agency linkages and networking, which she used as gateway to share and extend her skills and knowledge in Librarianship as resource speaker and lecturer.

She is involved in the regional cascading of the International Network of Emerging Library Innovators (INELI) and engaged in the implementation of the three (3)-year INELI-ASEAN project as one of the Assistant Project Directors, the first long-term international project spearheaded by the NLP.

She graduated Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Library Science at the Philippine Normal University and currently pursuing her Master in Library and Information Science at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
