A high caliber applicant to the NEFLI Program of NLP with an advanced degree in Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business Administration & Economics from a premier bulwark of academic  excellence, University of the Philippines and connected  to a top-level and multi-awarded local government institution and possesses workexperience as a public servant of more than 19 years in Executive and HR of which 10 years was demonstrated at a managerial and strategic level.

She has worked successively with three (3) Local Chief Executives and the diversity of her work assignments have provided her extensive experience in dealing with top management, fellow rank and file, as well as, her respective clientele and the community. Her work history shows  an individual who has worked in progressively responsible positions that have given her the opportunity to acquire higher levels of  responsibility.

She has skills in decision making in an advisory capacity to the Local Chief Executive regarding the proficient operations of  the Office of Strategy Management; plans, programs, initiatives and best practices in public governance pathway under the supervision of the Institute for Solidarity in Asia (ISA), and grassroots program execution.

She is equally equipped with superior leadership skills and competence which will be an imperative edge as potential NEFL Innovator in terms of her distinctive educational achievements and highly specialized trainings.

An advocate of good governance, she is committed to  put premium on walking an extra mile to genuinely improve excellent public service delivery through the adoption of current trends on relevant public libraryoperations and services.

Leading six months of engagement at the public library redefined her conviction that giving without counting the cost is the key that will unlock the doors to bringing about a long wanted breakthroughs and transformations in creating strategies that yield big reforms and result in better public service.

She believed that today, NLP has to work with handpicked emerging innovator, where the field of action is immediate and clear.

REMIA QUEBRAR

LIBRARIAN I
BACOLOD CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY

 

Remia Quebrar is a librarian, founder, hiligaynon book translator, facilitator and instructress.

She founded the “Friends of Bacolod City Public Library”, registering it to Securities and Exchange Commission; teaches Basic Computer Training Course to different sectors including senior citizen aging 85 years, earned her title as “Beyond Access Star Librarian” for her significant contribution to Library Innovation; had translated 4 book into Hiligaynon language, using those during the story telling activities; facilitated the Regional National Book Week celebration 2017, Essay writing and Poster making contest 2019.

Her participation in Library Benchmarking and Cultural tour at Bangkok, Thailand on May 2018 has developed her knowledge on innovations. Recognized finalist to search for Most Outstanding Government Employee of Bacolod City.

When she is not glued to library work, she takes time in her other organization such as Lions Club International, Bacolod City Sampaguita Lions Club; Association of Librarians in the Public Sector (ALPS); Association of Public Information Specialists of Negros Occidental, Inc., wherein she is an officer in two library organizations .At home her hands are always full in the garden envied by the onlookers.

Nemia S. Dahab
Librarian I
Bohol Provincial Library and Information Center    

 

Nemia Sino Dahab is new in the Bohol Provincial Library and Information Center. Born in Pintatagan, Pantukan, Davao Oriental in 1968. She presently resides at 1206 Luday Street, Ubujan District, Tagbilaran City. She obtained her degree in elementary education from Divine Word College of Tagbilaran in the year 1990, Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Library Science in the year 2000, her Masters in Library Science from the Holy Name University in March 2005 and her award as Magna Cum Laude. She is a license librarian and a license teacher.

After her college life, she lands a job as private tutor and teacher in kindergarten in the year November 1990 to March 1992. In April to December 1993 she was a casual employee at Bohol Provincial Library and Information Center. She served as children’s librarian at Oakbrook Library owned by the Lions Club. In July 1998, she served as college librarian (reference and technical services librarian) in different colleges/departments of Holy Name University until May 2016 and high school/EMC librarian in June 2016 to May 2018. She was a part time teacher in the College of Arts and Sciences teaching library science subjects at Holy Name University in year November 2007 to March 2010 and NSTP-CWTS adviser in year November 2006 to March 2019. In November 2015 to April 2016, she was appointed as Director of NSTP and June 2016 to March 2018, she was the CWTS coordinator. In April 16, 2018, she joined government service as Librarian I of the Bohol Provincial Library and Information Center.

Dahab attended many seminars and trainings both local and national. She was a facilitator in leadership training sponsored by the Ayala Group, storyteller during HEAT Bohol caravan and resource speaker in seminar workshop conducted by the Bohol Provincial Library and Information Center.
