MakiVlog na! Libre lang, may Papremyo pa!

OBJECTIVES:

The Vlog Contest “MakiVlog na! Libre lang, may Papremyo pa!” aims to create a powerful story around the theme “Libraries Building ROADS: Readers. Opportunities. Advocacies. Development. Sustainability.” and will serve as the promotional video for libraries during the pandemic.

 

MECHANICS / GUIDELINES:

  1. ELIGIBILITY

           The competition is open to all Filipino citizens who are residing in the Philippines, except to NLP / NCCA-NCLIS Secretariat, and their relatives   up to the fourth degree of consanguinity or affinity. 

 

  1. ENTRIES

  • All vlog entries must be an original work and between 3-5 minutes (max. 5 minutes) in length including credits. Entries exceeding 5 minutes will have corresponding deductions from their points, 1 point for every second in excess.

  • Each participant should submit ONE entry only.

  • Submitted videos must focus on the theme “Libraries Building ROADS: Readers. Opportunities. Advocacies. Development. Sustainability.” must adhere to the objectives of the celebration.

  • The video shall possess the following specifications:

    • The video must be in the highest quality possible. Either 1920 x 1080 (1080p) or 1280 x 720 (720p) is ideal. It must also include a script.  

    • Content will be screened in a public setting and should be appropriate for an audience of all ages.

    • Observe the following when  using images, sounds or music in the entry:

      • The content/material must be the contestant’s own original work; 

      • If the contestant uses someone else’s material,  it must have the appropriate, documented permission to do so ; 

      • The content must be in the public domain and follows all applicable copyright laws; and

      • A bibliography or list of references must be included in the credits of the images, sounds or music used in the video.

  • If during the technical review, the committee/panel has reason to suspect that the video submitted contains copied material/content without the proper attribution; the submitted video will be disqualified. We strongly encourage you to include the sources of any media used in your video within the description area.

  • The contestant expressly waives any alleged right or remedy, whether with respect to any intellectual property right, moral right or grievance as to the application of the judging criteria, and undertakes to accept the decision of the LIS Committee as final.

  • The vlog’s first public appearance must be at LIS 2021. That is, the vlog should not have been previously shown to the public.

  • Please adhere to all current social distancing guidelines/health protocol when creating your videos.

  • Entry Form, video and attached requirements shall be uploaded to the http://web.nlp.gov.ph/lis/node/33 on or before October 15, 2021. Filenames shall be in the following format:

    • Entry Form (VlogEF Last Name, First Name)

    • Video Entry (Vlog Last Name, First Name)

Submission of entry constitutes permission granted to NLP to use a contestant's name and entry for purposes of presentation, marketing and promotion without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. All entries become property of the NLP.

 

CRITERIA: 

The decision of the panel of judges based on the following criteria is final and irrevocable.

AWARDS:

There will be three (3) winners of this contest who will receive the following:

1st Prize     -     15,000 + Certificate of Recognition

2nd Prize    -     10,000 + Certificate of Recognition

3rd Prize     -     5,000 + Certificate of Recognition

 

Winning entries will be posted on the NLP website and Facebook page. Winners will receive an email for notification and will be invited to attend the virtual awarding and closing ceremonies on November 30, 2021.
