In light of the celebration of the 30th Library and Information Services (LIS) Month, the NLP together with the NCCA-NCLIS launches the Best Online Activities by LIS Associations.

The Best Online Activities Contest aims to showcase the Library and Information Science Associations/Organizations ‘ activities as part of the LIS Month Celebration and to emphasize the diversity of different types of libraries.

ELIGIBILITY

The competition is open to all LIS Associations in the Philippines.

ENTRIES

  1. Entries must be posted on the Facebook page of the participating association and privacy setting must be Public.
  2. One entry per association, collaboration with other association are allowed.
  3. Entries must be shared in NLP Facebook page.
  4. Entries must use the official hashtag of #LibREAL and #30thLISM.
  5. Entries can be any online activity of your choice (i.e. webinar, book talk, vlog, etc.).
  6. An Entry Form shall be accomplished by the participating association with an attached copy of list of officers and submitted in .pdf format (Please see Annex B for the template).
  7. Entry Form shall be uploaded to http://web.nlp.gov.ph/lis/node/24 on or before October  15, 2020. Filename shall be in the format BLIS Name of Association.
  8. The organizers will evaluate the submitted entry and will notify the association of its qualification to join the contest.
  9. Submission of entry constitutes permission granted to NLP to use contestant’s name and entry for purposes of presentation, marketing and promotion without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. All entries become property of the NLP.

The activity must be original and must be creatively portrayed or executed. Elements are well researched and presented.

The activity contains use of effects generally appeals to the viewers. Sounds are audible and video is of high quality.

CONTEST SCHEDULE / TIMELINE

Entries must be submitted by a representative until September 30, 2020 at the designated submission bins. The organizers will evaluate the entry. If qualified, a notification will be sent after 3 days from the date of submission. Entries must be viewed starting November 4, 2020 to November 25, 2020. Announcement of winners is on November 27, 2020.

AWARD

  1. There will be three (3) winners of this contest who will receive the following:
  1. 1st Prize – 50,000 + Certificate of Recognition
  2. 2nd Prize – 30,000 + Certificate of Recognition
  3. 3rd Prize – 20,000 + Certificate of Recognition
  1. Winners will be invited to attend the virtual Awarding and Closing ceremonies on November 30, 2020 at 1:30 in the afternoon.
