5th International Conference on Children and Young Adult's Librarianship

The National Library of the Philippines (NLP) as one of the cultural agencies attached to the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) under the Office of the President (OP) spearheads the development of children and young adult library services. One of its advocacies is the promotion of the lifelong learning through the love for books and reading, and that, part of its strategies is the conduct of capacity building programs to the public library stakeholdres to continuously innovate programs and services. Thus, we organize conferences in cooperation with the Local Government Units (LGUs). This year, our Conference on Children and Young Adult Librarianship with the theme: "Information, Innovation and Inclusion: an Opportune to Diverse Children and Young Adult Libraries" will be held at the Social Hall of Cebu Provincial Capitol, Cebu City on October 17-19, 2018. This will be organized in cooperation with the LGU of Cebu City through its Library. The conference objectives are: to entice advocacy on inclusive library services; highlight trends and practices on diverse libraries; and, discuss essential information in managing libraries.

All library personnel are enjoined and invited to participate in this event. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units will be applied. A conference fee of Php 5,000.00 will be charged inclusive of meals, kits and certificates.
